I'm Sakinah, a Muslimah, Wife, Mom, Sister, Friend, Herbalist, Mentor and Coach. I wear many hats and I wear them proudly. To be honest I didn't always wear these hats so proudly. In 2015 life was really "life'ing" for me. In one year, I lost my mom to cancer, had my second child, and weighed the most I had ever weighed in my life. I was grieving, I was depressed, I was overwhelmed with life, and I didn't know where to begin to fix my situation. Before I knew it I had lost my confidence, and I had lost my identity. I didn't even recognize my reflection. While working in Western Medicine, I then stumbled into my herbalist journey and fell in love with wellness and the concept of healing ourselves from the inside out. However, everything didn't come full circle for me until I learned about the bio-individual; everyone has different needs and is unique in what supports their individual health and happiness.
I can relate to you because I have been through it all myself. I thought my issues were just physical, but it wasn't until my mental, emotional, and spiritual self being was on one accord did I started to feel whole. Through this process I came into my calling, helping others heal themselves "holistically" not leaving any part of you alone. Change does not occur overnight, wellness is a journey and together we will walk the path of Holistic Wellness.
